Monchhichi never really went away, but has now been given a new, hip streetwear makeover. Perfect as a cuddly doll, collector's item, and fashion statement. The thumb goes in and out of the mouth.
Monchhichi was born in 1974 in Japan, conceived by Mr. Sekiguchi. He combined a soft plush monkey with a cute vinyl face, including a thumb to suck on. The very first Monchhichis were twins: a boy and a girl. The cuddly monkeys quickly became a huge hit in Japan and have since been winning the hearts of young and old all over the world.
